Arranged an 80th birthday Sunday lunch. Good choice of food but the sharing platter was fab with different meat and plenty of side veg. Great staff. Was advised that smaller appetites could have a child's meal or 2 people could share 1 platter. Lovely atmosphere in the room and there was no rush. Went into the lounge/bar/terrace area for coffee & tea. Plenty of parking, close to main road and large lawn for a walk. Bit difficult to speak to someone on the phone (need to leave a message) but would highly recommend.

Had an an amazing 4 course dinner from their Elegant Dining menu. Food was fantastic, with great portion sizes (didn't feel over charged) and a good selection. Service was attentive but not intrusive and the decor is beautiful. The only feedback I would give is that the dining room becomes loud and echoey when full (lots of effort put in to reduce this- soft furnishings and wall decor), so would benefit from the music being quieter and maybe more gentle compared to the bar to allow guests to converse. Not sure if it would also be nicer to only have Elegant Dining in the restaurant on a weekend evening and keep the Lounge menu in the bar area where people can wear more casual clothing to elevate the dining experience in the restaurant? Will definitely be back and can't wait to try the cocktail menu!

Absolutely exquisite place! I've been here more than once so thought I'd put a collection of photos from lots of different visits! I've enjoyed Sunday roast here, coffee and cake, lunch, and dinner! The staff are extremely professional, the decor is absolutely stunning and the food is literally epic!! I have nothing more to add then you need to go if I could give it more than 5 stars I would! It's just on the outskirts of Exeter, really easy to find and get too as you avoid going through Exeter. The parking is free and the land around the site is just gorgeous as well. And you must enjoy a cocktail here as well in the beautiful bar,.some of the best cocktails I've ever had, highly recommend the orange whiskey sour as well! It just never dissappoints. I've bought family here and friends and theyve all loved it. Just take my word for it and pay it a visit! Booking is recommended as they are very busy especially for Sunday lunch. Can't wait to go back again soon!
